Jolie Vue Ultrasound provides elective, non-diagnostic ultrasound imaging for keepsake and bonding purposes only. Our services are not intended to diagnose, evaluate, treat, or rule out any medical condition and are not a substitute for prenatal care or medically indicated diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

Prenatal Care & Physician/Midwife Supervision
Clients must be under the care of a qualified prenatal healthcare provider, such as an obstetrician, physician, certified nurse-midwife, or other appropriately licensed provider, and should continue all recommended prenatal care and diagnostic testing. An elective ultrasound session with Jolie Vue Ultrasound should never replace or delay an examination, ultrasound, test, consultation, or treatment recommended by your healthcare provider.

Potential Abnormalities or Concerning Findings
Although Jolie Vue Ultrasound sessions are non-diagnostic, our sonographers may occasionally observe something that appears unusual or concerning. If this occurs, we may recommend that you contact your prenatal healthcare provider for appropriate medical evaluation or, when circumstances appear to warrant urgent evaluation, seek prompt medical care. We do not provide a medical diagnosis or medical interpretation of ultrasound findings. Any medical questions, concerns, diagnoses, or follow-up should be addressed by your healthcare provider.

The absence of a concern being identified or mentioned during an elective session does not mean that no fetal, placental, maternal, or pregnancy-related abnormality is present. Jolie Vue Ultrasound does not perform a comprehensive diagnostic examination and cannot confirm fetal health or normal development.

Image Quality & Visualization
Ultrasound image quality and the ability to obtain desired images cannot be guaranteed. Results may be affected by factors outside of our control, including but not limited to:

• Gestational age

• Fetal position and movement

• Placental location

• Amount of amniotic fluid

• Maternal body habitus and tissue characteristics

• Fetal position relative to the placenta or uterine wall

• Umbilical cord or fetal limbs obscuring the face or other areas

• Multiple gestation

• Other anatomical or technical factors

Because every pregnancy and ultrasound session is different, Jolie Vue Ultrasound cannot guarantee that clear 2D, 3D, or 4D images, facial images, or specific views will be obtained during any particular appointment.

Fetal Sex/Gender Determination
When requested, fetal sex determination is based solely on what can be visualized during the ultrasound session and cannot be guaranteed to be 100% accurate. Accuracy may be affected by gestational age, fetal position, movement, maternal body habitus, and other visualization limitations.

If we are unable to determine fetal sex during an eligible appointment because of fetal position or inadequate visualization, any complimentary return session offered by Jolie Vue Ultrasound will be subject to our current package and rescan policies.

By scheduling or participating in an elective ultrasound session with Jolie Vue Ultrasound, clients acknowledge that they understand the non-diagnostic nature and limitations of the service and agree to maintain appropriate prenatal care with their healthcare provider.
