Unlike many “sneak peek” ultrasound boutiques that require no formal ultrasound schooling or experience, our ultrasound technologist is a graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited ultrasound school with a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Additionally, she is ARDMS-registered in OB/GYN and has over 10 years of experience scanning, including in a level one trauma center with a nationally recognized obstetric unit.

We believe in upholding the most rigorous ultrasound safety standards of ALARA while also providing you with a memorable, magical experience with your growing baby in a comfortable, boutique-style space surrounded by your loved ones and friends.

Our in-home boutique is conveniently located in the heart of Loudoun County in South Riding, Virginia. We are convenient to all neighboring counties, including Fairfax, Prince William, and beyond.

No. Jolie Vue Ultrasound provides elective, non-diagnostic ultrasound experiences for bonding and keepsake purposes. Our scans do not replace prenatal care, diagnostic ultrasounds, or medical advice from your OB, midwife, or other healthcare provider. You must be under the care of a qualified prenatal healthcare provider to receive our services.

Image quality is dependent on many factors, including gestational age, the amount of amniotic fluid, baby’s position, and body habitus.

To help get the best possible pictures of your little one, we recommend drinking at least 40 oz of water an hour before your appointment, and make sure to eat prior to your appointment, even just a snack.

6–15 weeks

Babies have their own plans! Image quality depends on several factors, including your baby’s position, gestational age, placental location, amniotic fluid, and maternal body habitus. If we’re unable to obtain the images we’re hoping for, we’ll do our best to encourage baby to reposition. Depending on your package and the circumstances, you may also be eligible for a complimentary return visit.

Yes! Gender determination is available beginning at 16 weeks. While we make every effort to provide an accurate determination, fetal position and other factors can sometimes make visualization difficult, so gender determination cannot be guaranteed. If we’re unable to determine gender during your visit, you may return for a complimentary gender recheck in accordance with our rescan policy.

Your experience at Jolie Vue Ultrasound is designed to be relaxed, exciting, and all about creating a special bonding moment with your baby. A few things to keep in mind before your visit:

• Please continue your regular prenatal care. Jolie Vue Ultrasound provides elective, non-diagnostic ultrasound services and does not replace medical or diagnostic ultrasounds performed by your healthcare provider. Clients must be under the care of a qualified prenatal healthcare provider.

• Every baby and every scan is different. We cannot guarantee specific images or views. Baby’s position, gestational age, movement, placental location, amniotic fluid, maternal body habitus, and other factors can all affect what we are able to see.

• Sometimes babies just don’t cooperate! If your little one is hiding their face or isn’t in an ideal position, we may have you change positions, walk around, or take a short break to encourage movement. If we are still unable to obtain desired images, a return visit may be offered in accordance with our rescan policy.

• Gender determination is not guaranteed. When included in your package, we will make every effort to determine your baby’s gender; however, accuracy and visualization depend on gestational age, fetal position, and other factors.

• Our scans are non-diagnostic. We do not diagnose fetal or maternal conditions or provide medical interpretations. If something is observed that may warrant medical evaluation, we may recommend that you contact your prenatal healthcare provider. Not identifying or mentioning a concern during your session does not mean that an abnormality is not present.

• Please arrive on time. Arriving late may reduce the amount of time available for your session so that we can remain on schedule for the families visiting after you.
